jimvid  > Amusement Park > Nellie Bly Amusement Park 7-10-05
Nellie Bly is a small kiddie land located in Brooklyn about 2 miles from Coney Island. It opened in the early 1960's and I can remember driving by it in the mid 1970's. While primarily a kiddie park, they do have a handful of adult rides and very nice minature golf course.

jimvid > A composite aerial shot from the ferris wheel looking towards the Verrazano bridge (back left). You can make out the coaster on the left which is well hidden in bushes and trees.
jimvid > Nellie Bly's Eli Wheel - which is run at a very fast speed!
jimvid > Nellie Bly's fun house is a simple portable model with not too many stunts and only a few that were there were working.
jimvid > Thankfully the most important stunt of any funhouse was working, and Dave thoroughly enjoyed!
jimvid > Nellie Bly's coaster is a kiddie Miler coaster, with one of the oddest names: the Tater Bug Terror????
jimvid > The Tater Bug Terror is well hidden by trees and bushes, but is a suprisingly good little ride and VERY smooth.
