Old Orchard Beach has been a tourist destination since the early 1800's and offered some sorts of amusements since the late 1800's. Today Palace Playland is the last remaining beach front amusement area left in all of the New England states (Maine, Mass, Rhode Island and Connecticut). It proves that you can a lot into a small space - 26 rides in 2 blocks plus a huge arcade, food stands and more. They offer a nice mix of classic and new at a reasonable price. Plus they have clam bellies!
